MERCER COUNTY, NJ — May 30, 2025 — The Jacob Swann car accident has left the South Jersey community in deep mourning after the Lenape High School senior tragically lost his life in a devastating car crash on Route 31 in Mercer County.

According to investigators, 18-year-old Jacob Swann was riding in a Honda Civic when the vehicle veered out of its southbound lane and collided head-on with a northbound tractor trailer.

Swann and two of his classmates from Lenape High School in Burlington County were rushed to a nearby hospital. Tragically, Jacob Swann died from his injuries. The other two students remain hospitalized with serious injuries.

“Just him not being here to experience graduation—it’s very sad,” added senior Evan Gaddy.
